This is my measuring-stick for good food in Vancouver. This is my awesomeness in a meal.
I've been here twice. Both times for my birthday. Both times the waiting staff were wonderful (even bringing out a birthday cake with my name on it), but even if they weren't, I'd come back here for the food.
This place is an indulgence - bare that in mind - you're not here to skimp with a salad, you're here to try amazing game done RIGHT.
I've had the venison, and I've had the wild boar. My mom has tried the game hen (so I had some) and I can't remember what else. It was so good that I honestly thought I should take it into a room and be alone with it, maybe buy it a drink and tell it how pretty it was before devouring it. Tender, succulent, rich, decadent - I don't think there are enough adjectives to describe how good the food is here, my tummy just growled because I'm writing this review instead of getting myself to DF's ASAP.
Honestly - the place is romantic - it's awesome for a candlelit anniversary dinner. The food is stupendous, and the service is excellent.
Now you see why they're my measuring stick, non?

We came here for the dinner, show and dancing. Every table had a good view of the stage. The Abba tribute band was fantastic. The service was excellent. The food was very good & We shared the 3 & 4 course options. We started off with endive salad, mussels, daily pasta special of Italian sausage in red sauce that was cooked al dente, risotto w/ porchini mushrooms & pork tenderloin. Along w/ a nice bottle of chianti we finished off with tiramusu & panna cotta. It was a great evening out.

Goldies pizza is different then your usual pizza place. It is distinguished by the pizza itself. When you buy a slice (or a whole pizza) you don't end up with a huge bready crust, Goldies is served rustic style... on thin crust. It's seriously the best pizza I have tasted in town. I prefer the mushroom pizza the most. YOu can see all the slices Goldies offers through their display window right off of Pender street, or you can go inside, sit at the bar, and order a beer while you they heat up your slice! I really liked the atmosphere. The owner, Michael, is a classy guy. He treats everyone with respect who walks in the door. They are also becoming more tech savy, and are adding their listings to Foursquare, and twitter. I checked into foursquare at goldies pizza, and got a dollar off their draft beer. Its a nice place! Tried Basilico's new Spring/Summer menu - lots of great appies, lunch and dinner items. You can tell all the ingredients are fresh. My partner had the herb crusted snapper and I tried the grilled pork loin chop and both were fabulous. Understand they have a great Sunday Brunch too.

One of the best italian restaurants around. Food is a great price if you go with someone else. Only complaint is that they ONLY offer 2 for 1 deals and adjust the price accordingly, so you can't really get anything for just yourself (unless you feel like eating 2 dishes).

Wow was this ever good. We had both the chicken and the schnitzel. The Chicken was tender, the Homemade pasta was outstanding. The wonderful folks also gave a CRACK Bread to try. Well we know why it is called Crack bread. We will definitely be returning and telling our friends.

Wow! I so wish I lived closer to this pearl of a restaurant! My cousin and I ate there when we were on holiday and we were VERY impressed with the quality, taste, and variety of dishes. The waitress was helpful, friendly, and patient as we tried to make decisions about our choices. She was able to describe how dishes were made, and was extremely helpful in the decision-making process!
The pizza was excellent and my cousin raved about her salad. The desserts looked too tempting to miss even though we'd really had plenty to eat.... so my cousin had the carrot cake and I had the tiramisu. It was "the tiramisu" - the best I've ever tasted and I am still dreaming about it - it was so incredibly delicious; not too sweet, lots of flavour, just the right blend of rich and moist. My cousin loved her carrot cake too, and we both heartily recommend this little restaurant to anyone who has the good fortune to be nearby. You won't be sorry!

We tried their daily frittata special which had sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, arugula and goat cheese which was served on a board with toasted thick bread. Their mushroom pizza was excellent as well. The crust was uber thin and pizza so tasty. The coffee and orange juice we had were good as well. Street parking can be challenging in that area

With out a doubt, this place has the best Homemade Italian Pasta. Rosas is a small restaurant located in Port Moody and I must admit that their food is a Five Star. Make sure to have reservations since they are usually booked. I recommend this place to everyone since the service is also phenomenal.

As well as a great selection of food in their Italian market and deli, which has an amazing selection with great prices.
